This page details some of the First Aid and Health & Safety training courses that we offer at RescueSkills. Please click on the available links to see more details about the courses. Remember that if you have a group of staff that require training, we may be able to offer you an on-site course at your premises, which can save you some money.

• HSE syllabus First Aid at Work

  • Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course (3 days/18 contact hours)

  • Emergency Paediatric First Aid (Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)) (6 contact hours)

• Schools First Aid

  • Emergency First Aid for Schools Staff (4 or 6 contact hours depending on requirements)

• General First Aid for the community and groups

• Healthcare Professionals Courses

  • Healthcare Professionals Basic Life Support (including Primary Care Practitioners) training courses / CPD

  • Dementia Friends Sessions (1 hour, with opportunity for networking before/after)

• Water Safety Courses

  • RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
  • RLSS Survive & Save Awards
  • Other water safety courses, such as RYA required bolt-on modules for RYA recognition of First Aid, land-based rescue techniques and risk assessments for water based activities

• Health & Safety Courses

  • Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (6 contact hours)
  • Fire Safety (including Fire Warden / Fire Marshal roles) (4 contact hours)
  • Other Health and Safety courses, such as Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, Display screen assessor, and many more - please ask for details of courses and availability

• Handling Courses

  • Principles of Safer Handling (Manual Handling) (3 contact hours)
  • Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (1 day / 6 contact hours)
  • Evacuation Chair Training (3 contact hours)
  • Patient Handling (Moving and Handling of People) (6 contact hours)
  • Casualty Handling (Moving and Handling of Casualties) (6 contact hours)

• Radio Communications including Control Operations

Bespoke first aid courses to your requirements may also be designed and delivered, perhaps to take your staff/learners beyond normal first aid at work levels, adding specific modules, or combining some of the other skill sets, such as AED / Oxygen together with Basic Life Support, to significantly improve your teams skill levels. Running a course at your company

All our courses may be run at your own venue, subject to suitable risk assessments and course viability (enough learners to fill course), or learners may join one of our scheduled courses at a venue near to you in Hampshire, West Sussex, or surrounding areas. We offer courses into Surrey, Berkshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight, or further afield nationwide where appropriate. We are based in Fareham, Hampshire.
