Additional Training Courses
The standard First Aid at Work courses cover general first aid in
a generic environment. As Health and Safety has developed and
been implemented over the years, first aid courses have been
simplified in many ways to reflect the common occurrences in
business and industry, and the safer environments we all work in.
It is recognised by the HSE that there are still some industries
where risks are different and perhaps somewhat higher than the
average business, and the new guidance notes for the Health and
Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 make it very clear that where
additional risks exist, additional training should be provided
that is appropriate to those environments.
The following table is drawn taken from the guidance document,
and adapted to help show how RescueSkills may be able to help you
with your training. The examples given are not exhaustive.
